911: In Plane Site

Just like everyone else, I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I learned of the tragedy of 911.  I had just gotten out of bed, fed the cats, gotten my morning cup of coffee and turned on the TV.

What I saw on TV that morning was indeed shocking.  As I watched the coverage that showed President Bush being informed of the second tower being hit, I was even more shocked.  What I saw was that he did not seem surprised.  He seemed to slightly nod his head in acknowledgement and continued to just sit there.

Now, I did not expect our president to “freak out”, but I would expect some flicker of surprise.  I was immediately suspicious.  I tried to write my suspicions off as “my imagination” or “jumping to conclusions”.  However, every time I have watched that clip and looked carefully, I come to the same conclusion as I did that first time.

I have since watched several videos on 911, and as a result, have seen much evidence that at least some part of our government is complicit.

My questions:

Why did they appoint themselves to investigate rather than hire independent investigators?

Why is so much information being suppressed?

Today, I watched 911: In Plane Site – The Directors Cut – Full High Quality Video

Edit: I have tried several times to embed this video, but every time I click “save”, the embed code disappears. So, just click on the link provided and view it on Google.

This is one of the best videos that I have seen on this issue.  They don’t cover all the evidence.  They submit evidence that is easily understood by lay persons like myself.  There is available much evidence that is understandable to people with more technical backgrounds.  You can find it by doing internet searches on keyword “911″.

I encourage anyone reading this to at least view the video and make up you own mind.  Try, if you can, to suspend any previous beliefs you may have and just look at the evidence as if you have never heard the story before.  You can always reclaim your previous beliefs if you so choose.  Then give some thought to the implications.

If the official story of 911 is not true, why did we go to war with Afghanistan and Iraq?  Could there be a different agenda?

What has happened as a result of the official story?  We have been progressively robbed of our civil liberties and indeed robbed of our very Constitution that protects our civil liberties and basic rights.  Why?  What else is in store?

The implications go on and on…

Will Theocracy be our new Reality?

Please read these articles and watch the videos. I encourage you to research some on your own. I have been reading for months and am deeply troubled. I think we are on the verge of catastrophe. I hope with all my heart that I am wrong. But, it does explain an awful lot of what has been happening here in America.

There seems to be a faction of Right Wing Christians (NOT ALL Christians by any means) who are trying to subvert the U.S. Constitution and create a Theocracy. They want to rule by Biblical Law and any religion or denomination that does not agree with them will be illegal. There would be no more freedom of religion. I don’t think I would do well in a Theocracy. I probably wouldn’t live through it.

Palin seems to be deeply connected with the Dominionists and McCain is not expected to live (virulent form of cancer gives him 2-4 years on average). Don’t vote for Obama either – he seems to have an assistant (handler) that belongs to the same group of Dominionists. He changed the way he was speaking right after he got this assistant. I suggest – vote Green or don’t vote at all.

That is if we even have an election. There is a chance it will be “suspended due to emergency situtation”. Previously, The Protect America Act of 2007 gives Bush to declare Martial Law in the event of (loosely defined) emergency. Bush would then have complete power. (all part of the dismantling of our Constitution)

The only two (previous) candidates who actually did what they claimed and submitted resolutions for restoration of our Constitution were Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. They however, have been marginalized. There are a few other Senators and Representatives left (in both parties) who are working to preserve our Constitution and actually trying to serve the people of this country. But, not many. Both parties seem to have been infiltrated.

I am not sure I will vote at all this time. It will be the first time since becoming old enough to vote that I don’t. I have always believed in our system of government, but I no longer believe we have that system. I have read a lot this past year about the various resolutions and acts passed by Congress that have dismantled our Constitution. This has been done by both Republicans and Democrats.

I don’t really know what else to do but to inform people. It may be too late anyway.

There is a lot of evidence that voting machines are rigged and the election is a sham.

Someone once said that it matters not who votes, but who counts the votes.

What is Our Country Coming To?

Apparently the police feel threatened by bunches of young people…

This is getting scary.  More and more I see this country turning into a Police State.

Bet You Haven’t Seen Any of This on Mainstream News

On 25 July 2008, the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives had a hearing to discuss issues related to the impeachment of the president.

C-Span aired this hearing and you can hear it here. The above video is only one of 29 videos posted on the playlist by “cspander” (You Tube).

I have not seen any reporting of this on my local TV stations News programs…have you?

Many voices call for impeachment.  Yet, we are told by Ms. Pelosi that it is “off the table”.

I have heard that it is off the table because they have “more important things to do”…If you have a bull in the china cabinet, breaking all the china, what is more important than getting the bull out of the china cabinet?  Picking up the broken china?

I have heard that it is off the table because there could be a political backlash against the Democrats for impeaching the president…If the “We the People” elected them to do a job and they fail to do that job, would that not be grounds for political backlash?  If “We the People” elected them to represent us and they ignore our call to impeach, will that not create a political backlash?  Unless, of course, they are not really working for us…we just pay their salaries.  One more important point…do we want elected officials who are more worried about “political backlash” than doing the right thing?

I have heard it said that to impeach would be embarassing.  What?  What is more embarassing – to ignore what the rest of the world can clearly see or to do the right thing and clean up the mess?

I don’t know anymore.  The world seems to have gone insane.  Maybe it is just me.

Smoking Mirrors

I have been seeing articles by Les Visible on various sites I peruse. I have been extremely impressed with this writer’s ability to see reality and his eloquence in writing about what he sees. He seems a well-balanced individual and also writes and sings some impressive and inspiring songs.

So, I finally found some time to check out one of his blogs, “Smoking Mirrors” and am glad I did. I fully intend to read everything there.

For starters, you might try this article “Money, Honey… and Face Time in Your Dreams“.

He includes some resource links for news and a link to the video “Money as Debt“. This video animation explains (in layman’s terms) just how our money system works (or rather doesn’t). It is an eye-opener.

He talks about discernment of truth and of money’s influence on disinfo. He talks about discernment of truth based on what someone does versus what they said they would do. He calls us to look at our responsibility to discern truth and to find our principles.

The time of choice is at hand. What do you value? What do you know of what is happening in our world? Do you approve or do you disapprove? What do you need to do that is in accord to those values? Do you need more knowledge? Do you need to find your voice? Only you can answer those questions for yourself. Only you can choose the future you want to work towards.

Iraq Veterans Against the War

There is a growing group of Iraq War Veterans who oppose the war.

This past weekend, these veterans gave testimony regarding the truth of what is happening in Iraq. They also talk about how they see the future and what we need to do about it. See “Winter Soldier” for more. (video archives will be available once the event is over). Due to high level of traffic to this sight, you may have difficulties accessing it today. Please try again later.
If you are a service member or veteran opposed to the war, you are invited to join.

If you want to support this group, you can donate or buy soundtrack CD “Body of War” featuring music Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam). One of the young veterans stated that there are veterans who would resist, but have no resources (jobs or job skills other than soldiering) to fall back on. This problem is one of the reasons they need our support.

“Body of War” movie was recently screened at Austin’s SXSW music and film festival. See trailer below:

Update on Impeachment of Cheney

Yesterday, I received an email update from “Wexler Wants Hearings”.

Apparently our Attorney General is refusing to enforce our law. I find this rather disturbing.

What the Attorney General seems to be saying is that the very people suspected of wrongdoing can tell the witnesses of that wrongdoing not to show up to testify before Congress. He refuses to enforce the subpoena by Congress of these witnesses. Reminds me of when George Bush was governor of Texas. He let the greatest polluters of our state write the pollution laws…in essence, letting criminals write the laws…seems nothing changes.

Read (contents of Wexler’s email) for yourself (Click on link in second paragraph for the video coverage):

Our Constitution is under threat and the most basic principle of checks and balances is being undermined. Not since Watergate has a president so openly disregarded the will of Congress.

During hearings in the Judiciary Committee yesterday, I told Attorney General Michael Mukasey that I called for impeachment hearings because of the stonewalling and blatant abuses of the Bush Administration. He responded by stating that he will NOT enforce a contempt of Congress citation against Harriet Miers and White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten for refusing to testify before Congress. The video is here: Wexler questions AG Mukasey on Impeachment and Contempt

Alberto Gonzales may be long gone, but the Bush Administration continues its executive overreach with the new Attorney General.

We can debate the need for Impeachment hearings. We can argue its effects on the election or our agenda. But one thing is abundantly clear:

If Congress’ right to require testimony is undermined, then our country’s leaders – Democrat, Republican, or Independent – will be immune from accountability.

The power of the subpoena – to call officials before us – is one of the most fundamental safeguards in our system of government. To have it effectively discarded – by virtue of the President instructing Administration officials to ignore a congressional subpoenas and not even appear before Congress – is unprecedented. The idea that the Attorney General would willingly defend this position – despite Congress’ constitutional right to call such witnesses, is outrageous.

Impeachment hearings could render this moot: The President, Vice President, and all officials under them would no longer invoke executive privilege. There would be no more smokescreens.

In one week, I will be delivering my letter calling for impeachment hearings to Chairman John Conyers. Already, 16 Members of Congress have joined my call, including 3 Judiciary Committee members. I am hopeful for more in the coming days, but it is important for you to reach out to your representative in Congress to express how you feel. You can view the current list of signers, here: New members of Congress added to letter to Chairman Conyers

I do not know how Congress will react, but I do know this: I will pursue this course aggressively. I will not compromise away the constitutional role of Congress. Your support is invaluable. Please know that I am working everyday to ensure that the Bush Administration is held accountable.

Please continue to support this movement at www.wexlerwantshearings.com.

Yours truly,

Congressman Robert Wexler

Taking Action

In regards to my previous post “I am Afraid“: I have little in the way of resources. Like more and more Americans, I am on a very tight budget. We are so busy just trying to “get by” that we have not much time, energy, or money to fight this. I suspect that is as planned…

But, I still have a voice, even if it is a small one. I intend to use it here and in sending emails to my representatives (as if that will really do much good). Perhaps, if more and more people spoke up…I just don’t know. It may get very ugly before it gets better.

A few weeks ago, I sent an email from ImpeachBush.org in support of House Resolution 333. Here is what I wrote:

(This first part of the letter was pre-written for any who wanted to use it…we are encouraged to add to it or to rewrite it as we wish – I kept the pre-written part and added my own thoughts.)

I support House Resolution 333 calling for the impeachment of Vice President Richard Cheney. I also support the impeachment of George W. Bush. As your constituent, I am writing to insist that you and the rest of the House of Representatives carry out your constitutional duties to defend the Constitution of the United States.

It is unconscionable that the House has obstructed an open discussion of the activities of the President and Vice-President. This administration has taken this country into a criminal war, is threatening to start a new war, and has violated the constitutional rights of the American people. It is time for the House to fulfill its constitutional obligations in response to these impeachable offenses.

(Now for my addition:)

I am appalled that we, the American People, have let this go on for so long. I am appalled that when we do call for impeachment, our representatives refuse to answer the call. Everything our country has stood for is going down the drain.

Do we really believe in the values we espouse? Do we really believe in our Constitution? Do we take our oaths seriously? When I joined the U.S. Army many years ago, I took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies – foreign and domestic. Do our representatives not take this same oath? If so, why are they not fulfilling this oath? Or, were they merely empty words said just to get the job?

Forget the side issues like abortion and illegal aliens – our opinions won’t matter if our Constitution is destroyed. If we let Bush and Cheney get away with this, it will open the door for others to grab unchecked power, or is this what you are hoping for?

As a moderately educated person, I understand the principles behind checks and balances. Do you? Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Even if Bush and Cheney have the best of intentions (which I don’t believe they do), no one can guarantee they won’t become corrupted. No one can guarantee that persons following them in office will be uncorrupted by all the unchecked power. That is why our founding fathers wrote the Constitution. So, either they (Bush and Cheney) are ignorant (of these principles) and incompetent, or they do not have our best interest in their hearts. At the very least, by dismantling the checks and balances, they are opening the door for tyranny. Why are we letting them get away with this? Surely, you are more educated than I am. You must understand this better than I could say it.

I believe that dismantling the Constitution, destroying checks and balances, and lying to take us into war are are acts of treason. Our young men and women are dying for the lies told to get us in this war.

Clinton was impeached for sexual misconduct, and there were no lives at stake. The American People did not call for that impeachment, but it was done anyway. His misconduct did not kill anyone, nor did it deprive the American People of their Constitutional rights. Yet, he was impeached.

Now, our Constitution is under attack, our rights are being taken from us, and our young people are dying. We, the People, have called for impeachment and have been told “It is off the table”. What???

I admit to being nervous about speaking up. For the first time in my 48 years, I have become afraid to voice my opinions. In a country that gives lip service to freedom of speech, I am afraid to speak. But, I am more afraid to keep my mouth shut.

For the first time in my 48 hears, I am ashamed to be an American. And I am angry.

Digg!
