More on Monsanto…

I have recently come across this article on Monsanto:

Who Owns Life, Not Monsanto?

It is the story of one farmer fighting back.

In a nutshell, Monsanto has these genetically modified seeds and own the patents on them.  Then, when crops grown with these seeds cross-pollinate and contaminate crops of other (non-genetically modified) crops, Monsanto sues those farmers for “growing the Monsanto crop without a license”.  When the farmer tries to removed the Monsanto crop from their own land, Monsanto claims the farmer cannot do that because they (Monsanto) own the crops!

This farmer fought back and actually won. The farmer (rightfully) claimed that Monsanto’s crops were “trespassing” on his land and sued Monsanto for the cost of removing the Monsanto plants from his land.

Seems that Monsanto’s insistence that they own any crops that carry their patented genetic profile has back-fired in that it establishes liability for contaminating non-genetically altered crops!

“It was a great victory, not only for ourselves, but for farmers all over the world because it has set a precedent where a corporation has accepted liability for contamination and clean up costs”, he said. Percy Schmeiser had become the first farmer in history to successfully counter-sue Monsanto for liability over damages done to his seeds and crops by Monsanto’s GM crops.

And this quote from the article shows us that Monsanto is not our savior:

Thirteen years ago when GM soya and rapeseed was introduced in Canada (and in the US) the Corporations and Government told farmers that GM would increase yields, be more nutritious, use less chemicals, and feed a hungry world. Now we will always have a sustainable agriculture, they claimed. The Canadian Department of Agriculture figures states canola yields have decreased at least ten percent and soya at least fifteen percent [4], but worst of all, farmers are using three to five times more chemicals because of the GM superweeds that have developed. The reality is that the nutritional content of all crops are down fifty percent of what they were before GMOs were introduced and now we have less yields and more chemicals used, exactly the opposite of what Monsanto promised.

In a world with so many people and so many droughts going on, food is of primary concern.  Monsanto promises greater yield “to feed a hungry world”, yet the results are exactly the opposite…

When all else fails, read the instructions!

Okay.  I really need to rant.  My rant? “People seem to have forgotten how to read”.

Background:

I have mentioned before that I am a jewelry artist trying to turn my hobby into a business.  I have had an online shop for almost 2 years now.

I am careful and meticulous about the descriptions I write for my listings.  I place the most important information in the beginning as I realize that many people do not read all the way to the end.  I put ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT information in ALL CAPS as well.

As in this example:

Listing is for PATTERN ONLY. Kits of materials for those who just want to try one will be available in “Kits” section in a week or so as I get some made up.

Listing is for an E copy (electronic copy). I will need your email address, so I can email you your copy. If you would prefer a paper copy printed out and mailed to you, please convo me, and I will make a “Reserved for…” listing just for you. (Paper copy will cost $2.00 extra for printing and postage costs.)

An aside:  I normally offer kits of materials for each of my patterns, but did not yet have enough beads in stock to make kits for this new design.  It was made from beads I bought to “just try out” and so have not yet built up a stock of these beads.  They are central to the design and substitutes simply will not work.  I have some on order and they should be here any day now.

Many times have I received emailed questions that would have been answered if only the person had read the listing’s description!  Sometimes, it is hard to bite my tongue and not provide the tongue-lashing to they so richly deserve.

Today, I got another email from the worst case so far.  And, yes, I intend to provide all the details (except, of course, personal data).

First, I recently created a new pattern for one of my designs and listed it in my online shop.  A few hours after listing this pattern, I received an email question “Do you have kits for this design?”  (see above quote for first two paragraphs of the description to this listing).

I wrote back that no, I do not and gave the explanation as described above (in the aside).  I told the person that I do have some of the beads in a few colors and could make a kit up for her.  In reply, she said that would be great and chose a color that I have on hand.

Once I got the kit made up, I sent her a message to tell her the kit was ready and that I had made a special “Reserved for (her username).” for the “pattern and kit”.  I also wrote in the description of that listing that it was for the “pattern and kit”.  So, she made her order and bought that reserved listing AND a copy of the pattern.

So, I had to refund her money as I was sure that she did not want to pay for two electronic (pdf) copies of that pattern.  I emailed her the pattern and shipped the kit.

Today, I get an email stating she received the kit, but there was no pattern with it!

Did she not read the emails I sent or the description in the listing?  Perhaps she had not checked her email, you say.  But, she did receive the email that told her she had received a refund for overpayment…

So, I forwarded a copy of the email that I had sent with her pattern…

I try so hard to be clear in my listings and it is frustrating when people simply do not read information that is relevant to their purchase.  I mean, I can understand just skimming when reading for fun…but when I spend money, I read everything related to what I am buying.

Perhaps it is only because I was in the military where you really learn to read “the small print” before signing something.  But does it not make sense to read relevant information when you are spending your hard earned money?

911: In Plane Site

Just like everyone else, I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I learned of the tragedy of 911.  I had just gotten out of bed, fed the cats, gotten my morning cup of coffee and turned on the TV.

What I saw on TV that morning was indeed shocking.  As I watched the coverage that showed President Bush being informed of the second tower being hit, I was even more shocked.  What I saw was that he did not seem surprised.  He seemed to slightly nod his head in acknowledgement and continued to just sit there.

Now, I did not expect our president to “freak out”, but I would expect some flicker of surprise.  I was immediately suspicious.  I tried to write my suspicions off as “my imagination” or “jumping to conclusions”.  However, every time I have watched that clip and looked carefully, I come to the same conclusion as I did that first time.

I have since watched several videos on 911, and as a result, have seen much evidence that at least some part of our government is complicit.

My questions:

Why did they appoint themselves to investigate rather than hire independent investigators?

Why is so much information being suppressed?

Today, I watched 911: In Plane Site – The Directors Cut – Full High Quality Video

Edit: I have tried several times to embed this video, but every time I click “save”, the embed code disappears. So, just click on the link provided and view it on Google.

This is one of the best videos that I have seen on this issue.  They don’t cover all the evidence.  They submit evidence that is easily understood by lay persons like myself.  There is available much evidence that is understandable to people with more technical backgrounds.  You can find it by doing internet searches on keyword “911″.

I encourage anyone reading this to at least view the video and make up you own mind.  Try, if you can, to suspend any previous beliefs you may have and just look at the evidence as if you have never heard the story before.  You can always reclaim your previous beliefs if you so choose.  Then give some thought to the implications.

If the official story of 911 is not true, why did we go to war with Afghanistan and Iraq?  Could there be a different agenda?

What has happened as a result of the official story?  We have been progressively robbed of our civil liberties and indeed robbed of our very Constitution that protects our civil liberties and basic rights.  Why?  What else is in store?

The implications go on and on…

More on the Bailout

Here is a good article – Review of the Economic situation for the week.  They write one every Monday.

Signs Economic Commentary for 29 September 2008 — Signs of the Times News

Here are some excerpts, but I do recommend reading the entire article.

“Here is the borrowing that’s happened in 2008 alone, with precious little public debate:

- $29 billion to bail out Bear Stearns.

- $40 billion in the first mortgage-holder bailout.

- $80 billion for an additional year of Iraq war operations. (Another $150-$200 billion in war costs such as future veterans’ disability benefits were incurred but not funded.)

- Up to $85 billion to bail out AIG.

- $153 billion to households for “economic stimulus.”

- $200 billion, and possibly more, to bail out Fannie and Freddie.

- $290 billion in farm subsidies, despite agricultural prices and grains profits being at record highs.

- $700 billion general bailout of securities backed by bad debt. (The International Monetary Fund estimates this figure will rise to at least $1 trillion.)

That comes to $1.6 trillion, explaining the debt-ceiling rise, and does not include roughly $300 billion in essentially interest-free cash issued to banks by the Federal Reserve on an emergency basis, which may or may not be repaid, but which in any case make all existing money somewhat less valuable. Why is the debt aspect of the splurge barely being remarked on by the mainstream media and by politicians? Why are the young not furious? And about that $700 billion about to the shoveled to the Wall Street elite — in 2007, George W. Bush vetoed an increase of $7 billion per year in health care spending for the poor, saying the country couldn’t afford it.”…

…”The Golden Rule when consuming all mass media coverage of economics is, of course, to remember that it is always wrong; either factually or in its timing, or both.

Which means, given the universally bleak tone of last night’s Crunchy TV, that either:

a) the economy is about to boom

b) the situation is even worse than portrayed and we’re facing The Apocalypse

Or, those calling the shots want the economy to crash now. Since all the assets were propped up by optimism, basically, making everyone severely pessimistic will ensure a crash. And, as the blogger, Badtux points out, deflation is to be feared more than inflation by average people. The rich, however, are hurt more by inflation. After a deflationary crash, those with cash can buy up all the assets for pennies on the dollar.”…

…”If you are wondering, I believe the AIG bailout is a very good model for how it has to go down. These institutions get the money — but the government gets ownership of them and can throw out the bad managers and reform their practices so they don’t do this stupid evil s**t again, and then sell off the workable assets and fold the part that’s not workable. Any bailout that’s going to work long-term is going to have to work like that, else this nonsense is just going to happen again. You can’t just throw money at these institutions. You have to take them over and reform them.”…

…”Now, at that point economic activity has *also* fallen, since economic activity needs cash to lubricate it and a lot of cash has been diverted towards futile attempts to pay unpayable debts rather than buying stuff. Figure that the economy is moving 10% of the goods and services that it formerly moved. Furthermore, food was planted and picked at the older, cheaper value of the food. So the stores are full of food, but nobody can afford to buy it because an orange that costs $1 is now only worth 1c but the store can’t sell it to you for 1c and make money because they paid the farmer 50c for it at the beginning of the year (thanks to the futures market). The end result is food riots, crops rotting in the fields, and the real threat of a fascist takeover of the country. Look up Father Coughlan and get back to us — it was only barely that FDR kept Father Coughlan’s cronies from taking over (see: Business Plot) and sending us down the same path that Germany and Italy went down. And that was before twenty-five years of rote recitation of “government is the problem, not the solution” discredited FDR’s brand of liberalism in the minds of most Americans — today, a FDR would not be allowed to be elected (I don’t consider Obama to be an FDR, looking at his policy proposals on his web site they appear to be fairly moderate free-enterprise-oriented proposals, not something shockingly socialist like the CCC program that built much of the infrastructure in Death Valley).

In other words, I don’t expect the U.S. to go down the path of FDR if we have another Great Depression. I expect a Mussolini, probably some general taking charge to “restore confidence and pride in our government”, and the usual stuff that happens when you have a Mussolini in charge. Bad things. Really bad things. You know the drill.”…

…”So the stage is now set for a fascist, Mussolini-style takeover of the U.S. Take a look at the following list of laws passed since 9/11,
courtesy of George Ure:

1. USA Patriot Act
- A 342 page document presented to Congress one day before voting on it that allows the government access to your bank and email accounts, as well as your medical and phone records with no court order. They can also search your home anytime without a warrant.

2. USA Patriot Act II
- This one allows secret government arrests, the legal authority to seize your American citizenship, and the extraction of your DNA if you are deemed a potential terrorist.

3. Military Commissions Act of 2006
- Ends habeas corpus, the right to an attorney, and the right to court review of one’s detention and arrest. Without this most basic right, all other rights are gone too since anyone can be detained indefinitely. Now anyone may be arrested and incarcerated and nobody would know.

4. NSPD 51
- A directive signed by George W. Bush on May 9, 2007, that allows the President to declare martial law, effectively transforming the U.S. into a dictatorship with no checks and balances from the Legislative or Judicial Branches. Parts of this directive are considered classified and members of Congress have been denied the right to review it.

5. Protect America Act of 2007
- Allows unprecedented domestic wiretapping and surveillance activities with a reduction in FISA court oversight. Probable cause is not needed.

6. John Warner Defense Authorization Act
- Signed by George W. Bush on October 17, 2007, this act allows the President to declare a public emergency and station troops anywhere in America without the consent of the governor or local authorities to “suppress public disorder.”

7. Homegrown Terrorism and Radicalization Act
- Passed overwhelmingly by Congress on October 23, 2007, is now awaiting a Senate vote. This act will beget a new crackdown on dissent and the Constitutional rights of American citizens. The definitions of “terrorism” and “extremism” are so vague that they could be used to generalize against any group that is working against the policies of the Administration. In this bill, “violent radicalization” criminalizes thought and ideology while “homegrown terrorism” is defined as “the planed use of force to coerce the government.” The term, “force” could encompass political activities such as protests, marches, or any other form of non-violent resistance.

So when you add in:

It starts to get a little scary.”

Scary indeed.

Here is an easier to read link for “Haliburton Confirms Camps Constructed

Another good article:

Mike Whitney: Black Monday?

Some excerpts (emphasis mine)

“Rep Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) gave the best speech of the day railing against the financial industry and defending the interests of working class Americans.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich: “The $700 bailout bill is being driven by fear not fact. This is too much money, in too short of time, going to too few people, while too many questions remain unanswered. Why aren’t we having hearings…Why aren’t we considering any other alternatives other than giving $700 billion to Wall Street?
Why aren’t we passing new laws to stop the speculation which triggered this? Why aren’t we putting up new regulatory structures to protect the investors? Why aren’t we directly helping homeowners with their debt burdens? Why aren’t we helping American families faced with bankruptcy? Isn’t time for fundamental change to our debt-based monetary system so we can free ourselves from the manipulation of the Federal Reserve and the banks? Is this the US Congress or the Board of Directors of Goldman Sachs?”

Bless him.

“There was greater opposition to the Paulson bill than any legislation in the last half century. The groundswell of public outrage has been unprecedented, and yet, Congress, completely insulated from the demands of their constituents, continues to blunder ahead following the same pro-industry script as their ideological twins in the White House. There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the two parties. Not surprisingly, neither Pelosi nor any of the Democratic leadership has even met with any of the more than 200 leading economists who have stated unequivocally that the bailout will not address the central problems that are wreaking havoc on the financial system. Instead, they have caved in to Bush’s demagoguery and the spurious claims of G-Sax bagman Henry Paulson, a man who has misled the public on every issue related to the subprime/financial fiasco so far.”

Hmmm…I would think that meeting with experts would be the wise thing to do.  But, that is just me, I guess.  I have had my suspicions about Pelosi for some time.  She does not quack like a Democrat…

What is going on with the Bailout Plan?

Found this article on the Bailout Plan:

What Did Bush&Co Know And When Did They Know It?

Some Quotes (parenthetic comments mine):

“Economic Shock and Awe: as Arianna put it,(see second link below for quotes), indeed. In another parallel to the planning of the Iraq War, there is this curious answer given by Deputy White House Press Secretary Fratto
at the end of The Bush Administration’s September 23rd Briefing (see first link below for quote) that has me wondering just how long ago did the Bush Administration know this crisis was coming?  And if it was a long time ago, why didn’t they stop it then?”

Press Gaggle Via Conference Call with Deputy Press Secretary Tony Fratto on the Economy

“…this was not a program that was conceived of or put together hastily.  There was an enormous amount of analysis and debate and discussion before we came forward with this program. I think we have anticipated a lot of the questions that members of Congress would naturally have about taking this step, but we have had — some of the policy staff have had months to think about what a program like this would be like and how it would work.”

Commentary from original Op Ed News article:

“When you are governing a country, you address problems when you first think they might occur and fix them before they become full blown disasters.

But when, in actuality, you want to do something that will not benefit the country… but, instead, will benefit your friend and associates…then you purposefully let a problem fester until it becomes an emergency that allows you to propose the “only measure” that will work… one that benefits you and your friends.

Now, I do NOT know that the Bush Administration has been secretly plotting to wreck the US economy by letting this problem become as huge as it is. I do NOT know that they waited this long so that their friends on Wall Street wouldn’t have to pay for the party they’ve been having for the last 8 years.

All that I have is the words of Mr. Fratto. I know that – if I had been governing rather than plotting and scheming – I would have brought members of Congress into the process of developing a solution months ago… when my “policy staff” first started working on one… not a week ago with all sorts of “do this now or the world will come to an end” talk.

But that’s just me. I was once a program manager with the Army Corps of Engineers. And if I knew there was a problem, I let people know about it right away. I didn’t let it turn into an emergency if that was at all possible.”

It seems that some Lawmakers are Fighting for the People:

Arianna Huffington: The Bailout Plan: Welcome to Economic Shock and Awe

Some Quotes:

“Remember a few years ago when lawmaker after lawmaker — mostly Democrats, but a few Republicans — said of Iraq, “If I’d known then what I know now, I’d have voted differently.”

Well, this time at least some lawmakers — mostly Democrats, but a
few Republicans — are not being so easily bamboozled. Congressional Democrats, led by Chris Dodd in the Senate and Barney Frank in the House, have put forth proposals doing away with the Paulson’s demand for unprecedented authoritarian power and adding a requirement that the government do more to help troubled borrowers refinance their mortgages.

Let’s hope Democratic resolve holds up against the inevitable charges by the Bush administration that demands for oversight, limits on executive compensation, profit sharing for taxpayers, and aid for struggling homeowners will lead to an economic Armageddon.

There is no question that the need to address this crisis is urgent and that the issues involved are complex. But urgency and complexity cannot be allowed to become excuses for lawmakers, the media, and the public to throw up their hands and allow themselves to be bull-rushed into disastrous public policy.”

Since these companies need to be bailed out for the good of the economy, the bailout is for the sake of the people.  And, I would think that if we the taxpayers are the ones paying for the bailout, we would own that company.  We, the taxpayers, should then have the authority to fire all the management that ran the company into the ground and we, the taxpayers, should also reap any profits the company makes in the future.

After all, are we not in a Capitalist economy?  To me, that means that if a company fails, and we bail them out, the previous owners forfeit their ownership.  Because if we did not bail them out, there would not even be a company to own.

We need to quit rewarding the criminals and paying for their crimes.  In a truly free market, the ones who fail do not get rewarded!

Apparently, we live in a country where people have forgotten what personal responsibility means.

Here are two other posts relating to personal responsibility.

No Wonder We Don’t Know Anything About Personal Responsibility

What Has Happened to Personal Responsibility

Edit:  Found this most excellent article and wanted to add it to this topic:

US Taxpayers are being enrolled in an economic chain gang

Some important quotes:

To preserve their [the people's] independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our selection between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude” – Thomas Jefferson

“Jefferson, America’s third president (1801-09), is widely regarded as the White House’s most intellectually gifted occupant. He believed that “banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies”, and that “the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity … is but swindling futurity on a large scale.”

“No wonder so many Congressmen look queasy. They must persuade constituents, many of whom are losing jobs and homes in the credit crunch, that it is a bright idea to rescue those who profited hugely from the creation of dark instruments. Not for the first time, Wall Street is bilking Main Street.”

I encourage you to read the entire article.

And this guy really knows how to use critical thinking!  You gotta ask the questions.  Try this article:

Game Theory: Playing Craps with Your Life, or: Some Poor Schnook with a Blog versus…Krugman!

Excerpt:

“And if you keep your critical thinking cap on, the questions about the opening paragraphs in Krugman’s column are endless (and they are not answered in the balance of the column). “Doing nothing isn’t a serious option.” I can argue that way: “Doing something — Krugman’s own word — isn’t serious.” But, insists Krugman, doing “something” is “the grown-up thing to do.”

This isn’t arguing when I do it or when Krugman does it. It’s name-calling and intimidation — and it’s substituting name-calling and intimidation for making your case. What exactly are the consequences of doing nothing? Who would feel those consequences, in what form, and when? How do you know those will be the consequences?

And: what will be the consequences of doing “something” — especially when that “something” involves adding an unfathomable amount of debt to the already monumental national debt? Won’t that have many dire consequences that will be felt by all Americans? How do the consequences of doing this particular “something” compare to the consequences of doing nothing? Which is likely to be worse? How do you know that?”

Is the CIA Infiltrating our Churches?

I now have ScribeFire for my FireFox browser.  It makes blogging about particular articles and topics so much easier.  With it, I can document some of the more interesting articles I come across.  (like the one below).   I can pull quotes from several articles if I want.  I can add images and other media.  All without having to log in to my blog.  I can even publish straight from this wonderful little add-on and see a preview beforehand.  ScribeFire has really made my life easier.

So, for example, just now as I was surfing, I came across this article.

Left Justified:  CIA is taking over the churches

Quote from article:

“Now, I’m not a paranoid person, and I don’t believe in conspiracy theories, but the thought of ex-CIA agents taking over fundamentalist congregations seems too weird.”

Weird, Indeed.

More quotes:

“Because I remember when pastors were liberal and anti-war. I remember hearing of Catholic CIA agents who blew the whistle on atrocities committed in Vietnam and Central America. In fact, some of the best-known heroes of the left came from a religious background, entered the CIA and were appalled at what they were ordered to do.”

“Case in point: Daniel Ellsberg. Once a seminary student, then an officer in Vietnam, and finally working for the nation’s highest intelligence organization, he was ordered to compile all the records of our war in Vietnam into a readable history. Ellsberg got them published by The New York Times, instead of keeping them secret. Otherwise known as the Pentagon Papers, these records showed how America deceived its own citizens and fostered a war in that far Southeast Asian country, of which we are still feeling the effects today.”

“The FBI hounded most of these pastors and lay people. But it was a time of religious fortitude. The congregations, most of them, stood strong against federal intrigue. And they were proven correct: from Chile to Chiapas, the long arm of the CIA reached into innocent people’s lives.

“This may have triggered the CIA encouraging their members to find religion. I’m not saying it’s a program set up by the government. But if I were to write a novel, I would use the premise of evangelical churches getting lots of support from the United States government’s right wing.”

“There is talk that in the End Times, an Anti-Christ will show up preaching peace but planning wars. There is little that is more anti-Christ than the Central Intelligence Agency. And some of these churches believe God hates homosexuals and wants us to go to war and kill Muslims. They have little regard for immigrants, and some profess Jesus never asked us to help the poor. If that isn’t “anti-Christ,” I don’t know what is.”

It could bear further research.

Reflections

Today, I spoke with a young woman about the current “bail-out” situation.  She had “heard of it”, but knew nothing about it.  She is voting McCain/Palin because “he is eloquent” and they are both pro-life candidates.  That’s it.  Those are her only concerns.  When I mentioned that if our Constitution is gone, we won’t get to decide on issues like “abortion”.  She shrugged.

I certainly hope that she is not representative of most voters.  I fear, though, that there are far too many just like her.

I am disheartened by those who are fervent in their belief of the “official story” and those who, like this young woman, are simply apathetic.  No one, it seems, really wants to look at reality and what may be going on.

I have friends, family, and associates that I have long thought of as intelligent people.  I am surprised these days in how very “stuck” they each seem to be in their versions of “playing Ostrich”.

Perhaps this is merely one of the hazards of having become totally disillusioned.  You see things much differently, but you are alone in it.   I suppose most people don’t want to be disillusioned.  It is very uncomfortable.

I am eternally grateful for the quality education I received.  I understand that nowadays, education is not so good.

I was actually taught about our Constitution and what it was based on.  I was actually taught about how our country came to be and what the Revolution was about.  These principles have guided much of my life.

However, I failed in one of the lessons.  I was taught that “vigilance is the price of freedom”.  I failed to be vigilant enough.  I trusted the media and paid only enough attention to decide who I would vote for.  Like many, I was involved in my life and dealing with personal issues.  Sometimes, just trying to make a living in a world that makes it more difficult each day is enough to keep us from paying attention.  (By design? – see, I am getting paranoid.  Although, according to this graph, the gap (percentage wise) between the richest and poorest in terms of income seem to be geometrically widening. )

Pay Scale Graphed over Time

Pay Scale Graphed over Time

So, now I am playing catch-up.  I am reading…and reading…and reading…and sliding “down the rabbit hole” of disillusionment.

…I began my journey “down the rabbit hole” with a sense of wrongness.  At the time, I focused on the Republican Party, because that is where I saw the most visible effects.  I had not heard of “neo-cons” or most of those kinds of labels (because I was not vigilant enough – not paying enough attention

I had long been puzzled and suspicious of how Republicans were not behaving as I thought they should.  I happen to agree with some of the Republican platform, but I have not seen the “fruits” match the “tree” (as it is defined).  I may be mistaken, but I thought that Republicans were conservatives.  I thought conservatives were in charge of preserving our values and traditions – “our way of life”.  However, I have seen the Republican Party pass bills and other Acts that tear away at the very document upon which our “way of life” is based.  But, not all Republicans.  hmmm…

It seemed that some group or cabal, if you will, has been infiltrating and corrupting our Republican Party.  As I began to look into this, it seemed as if the Democratic Party was also experiencing a similar problem; albeit not quite as extensive.  (Yet.)

The more I read, the more I am convinced of the existence of this cabal.  But, what is this cabal?  Who are its members?  What do they want?  (Besides, of course, total control.)  That is what I am trying to find out.

I try to remember to take time out and post some of my findings.  Sometimes, I even remember.

This is still a journey.  There is a lot of disinformation out there.  I am working on learning discernment.  This can be tedious.  But, it is vital.  So, I still don’t know what I think.  I have some working hypotheses, but they are just that.  Working hypotheses, not beliefs.

If anyone reading my blog has information, please leave a comment.

Will Theocracy be our new Reality?

Please read these articles and watch the videos. I encourage you to research some on your own. I have been reading for months and am deeply troubled. I think we are on the verge of catastrophe. I hope with all my heart that I am wrong. But, it does explain an awful lot of what has been happening here in America.

There seems to be a faction of Right Wing Christians (NOT ALL Christians by any means) who are trying to subvert the U.S. Constitution and create a Theocracy. They want to rule by Biblical Law and any religion or denomination that does not agree with them will be illegal. There would be no more freedom of religion. I don’t think I would do well in a Theocracy. I probably wouldn’t live through it.

Palin seems to be deeply connected with the Dominionists and McCain is not expected to live (virulent form of cancer gives him 2-4 years on average). Don’t vote for Obama either – he seems to have an assistant (handler) that belongs to the same group of Dominionists. He changed the way he was speaking right after he got this assistant. I suggest – vote Green or don’t vote at all.

That is if we even have an election. There is a chance it will be “suspended due to emergency situtation”. Previously, The Protect America Act of 2007 gives Bush to declare Martial Law in the event of (loosely defined) emergency. Bush would then have complete power. (all part of the dismantling of our Constitution)

The only two (previous) candidates who actually did what they claimed and submitted resolutions for restoration of our Constitution were Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. They however, have been marginalized. There are a few other Senators and Representatives left (in both parties) who are working to preserve our Constitution and actually trying to serve the people of this country. But, not many. Both parties seem to have been infiltrated.

I am not sure I will vote at all this time. It will be the first time since becoming old enough to vote that I don’t. I have always believed in our system of government, but I no longer believe we have that system. I have read a lot this past year about the various resolutions and acts passed by Congress that have dismantled our Constitution. This has been done by both Republicans and Democrats.

I don’t really know what else to do but to inform people. It may be too late anyway.

There is a lot of evidence that voting machines are rigged and the election is a sham.

Someone once said that it matters not who votes, but who counts the votes.
