Is the CIA Infiltrating our Churches?

I now have ScribeFire for my FireFox browser.  It makes blogging about particular articles and topics so much easier.  With it, I can document some of the more interesting articles I come across.  (like the one below).   I can pull quotes from several articles if I want.  I can add images and other media.  All without having to log in to my blog.  I can even publish straight from this wonderful little add-on and see a preview beforehand.  ScribeFire has really made my life easier.

So, for example, just now as I was surfing, I came across this article.

Reflections

Today, I spoke with a young woman about the current “bail-out” situation.  She had “heard of it”, but knew nothing about it.  She is voting McCain/Palin because “he is eloquent” and they are both pro-life candidates.  That’s it.  Those are her only concerns.  When I mentioned that if our Constitution is gone, we won’t get to decide on issues like “abortion”.  She shrugged.

I certainly hope that she is not representative of most voters.  I fear, though, that there are far too many just like her.

I am disheartened by those who are fervent in their belief of the “official story” and those who, like this young woman, are simply apathetic.  No one, it seems, really wants to look at reality and what may be going on.

I have friends, family, and associates that I have long thought of as intelligent people.  I am surprised these days in how very “stuck” they each seem to be in their versions of “playing Ostrich”.

Perhaps this is merely one of the hazards of having become totally disillusioned.  You see things much differently, but you are alone in it.   I suppose most people don’t want to be disillusioned.  It is very uncomfortable.

I am eternally grateful for the quality education I received.  I understand that nowadays, education is not so good.

I was actually taught about our Constitution and what it was based on.  I was actually taught about how our country came to be and what the Revolution was about.  These principles have guided much of my life.

However, I failed in one of the lessons.  I was taught that “vigilance is the price of freedom”.  I failed to be vigilant enough.  I trusted the media and paid only enough attention to decide who I would vote for.  Like many, I was involved in my life and dealing with personal issues.  Sometimes, just trying to make a living in a world that makes it more difficult each day is enough to keep us from paying attention.  (By design? – see, I am getting paranoid.  Although, according to this graph, the gap (percentage wise) between the richest and poorest in terms of income seem to be geometrically widening. )

So, now I am playing catch-up.  I am reading…and reading…and reading…and sliding “down the rabbit hole” of disillusionment.

…I began my journey “down the rabbit hole” with a sense of wrongness.  At the time, I focused on the Republican Party, because that is where I saw the most visible effects.  I had not heard of “neo-cons” or most of those kinds of labels (because I was not vigilant enough – not paying enough attention

I had long been puzzled and suspicious of how Republicans were not behaving as I thought they should.  I happen to agree with some of the Republican platform, but I have not seen the “fruits” match the “tree” (as it is defined).  I may be mistaken, but I thought that Republicans were conservatives.  I thought conservatives were in charge of preserving our values and traditions – “our way of life”.  However, I have seen the Republican Party pass bills and other Acts that tear away at the very document upon which our “way of life” is based.  But, not all Republicans.  hmmm…

It seemed that some group or cabal, if you will, has been infiltrating and corrupting our Republican Party.  As I began to look into this, it seemed as if the Democratic Party was also experiencing a similar problem; albeit not quite as extensive.  (Yet.)

The more I read, the more I am convinced of the existence of this cabal.  But, what is this cabal?  Who are its members?  What do they want?  (Besides, of course, total control.)  That is what I am trying to find out.

I try to remember to take time out and post some of my findings.  Sometimes, I even remember.

This is still a journey.  There is a lot of disinformation out there.  I am working on learning discernment.  This can be tedious.  But, it is vital.  So, I still don’t know what I think.  I have some working hypotheses, but they are just that.  Working hypotheses, not beliefs.
